Indiana Funeral Care offers low cost funerals that still gives the family the chance to memorialize their loved one life.  Why pay thousands of dollars for a cremation when you can have a cheap cremation for $890 and spend the other thousand that traditional funeral homes charge for providing a memorial service.  We are a local Funeral Home Indianapolis Indiana.

Cheap Cremations Indiana

After experiencing the recent death of a close friend in Florida, she wanted to pre-arrange her parents cremation and shopped traditional funeral homes in Indianapolis. She was stunned by high price quotes for cremation in the Indianapolis area, so she Googled "cheap cremations Indiana".  She asked why the Indiana Funeral Care cost was so much lower.  We don't have multi-million dollar funeral homes scattered all around Indianapolis.  Just one very nice funeral home and a brand new crematory.

Just took a call from a family that lives in Florida but is from Lafayette.  Their son found our American Legion brochure and when he went down to visit took it with him to show his parents.  They called today and asked if we would help them when his mother passes.  They were going to use a local funeral home but realized that our funeral home Indianapolis Indiana was a cheaper.  He wanted to make funeral arrangements Indiana so that it was a smoother transition at the time of her passing.

Indiana Funeral Care has a couple of television commercials running right now.  The first one asks, why pay $3,000 for a simple cremation at a traditional funeral home? Simple cremation...simple price...less than $1,000.

Funerals Around the World

William Gladstone said, “Show me the manner in which a nation or a community cares for its dead and I will measure with mathematical exactness the tender sympathies of its people, their respect for the laws of the land and their loyalty to high ideals.”

It is interesting to read about the funeral practices in other countries.  In Burma, for example, the average funeral and cremation costs 120,000 kyat (about $94.00).  This in a country where the average annual income per capita is $200.  One alternative used by some poor residents in villages around Rangoon is to allow a “funeral contractor” to handle the funeral.  Basically, a funeral contractor runs a gambling den at the funeral home and people come to the funeral and gamble. They share some of the money with the family and in return, the poor family receives a funeral service.

At Indiana Funeral Care you can get a complete cremation with memorial service for $1,795 or a complete traditional funeral starting at just $3,950.  In addition, you can pre-pay using one of several affordable payment options and lock-in today's prices.  No gambling required.

Affordable Cremation

I just read a story about three orphaned children in the UK who are having to sell everything they own on Ebay to pay for their mother's funeral.  You can read the whole story HERE.  They were quoted a price of 2,515 British Pounds (or about $3,800) for a cremation with a church memorial service.  At Indiana Funeral Care a cremation with limited family viewing and a church memorial service would only cost $1,795.  Thankfully, their county government and a local football club offerd to help pay for the funeral.  Pre-planning is another great way to save money on funeral arrangements.

Making funeral arrangements easy

Thursday, July 31, 2008 by Joel IFC
Funeral arrangements are usually never a fun thing to do. Our goal is to make the entire experience as simple and painless for our families. Sometimes you don't have to come to the funeral home to make arrangements because often we are able to make them at your family's home, over the telephone, or by email. If we are making more detailed arrangements for a funeral or memorial service, the selection of merchandise (casket, urn, memorial folders) can be done with a laptop computer or photos. Even though our funeral home is in Indianapolis, we can bring our funeral home to you. This way, everyone in Indiana can receive quality assistance from a funeral home that truly cares about the families we serve.

Cheap Funerals in Indiana

Why do more and more people Google for discount funerals and cremations in Indiana?  There is a small but rapidly growing segment of people that are looking for more simplicity and less expense in funeral and cremation services.  There are lots of good traditional funeral homes in Indiana, but trying to find a quality value provider that offers "discount funerals" or "discount cremations" in Indiana is a difficult task.
Many funeral home websites have beautiful graphics and colors, but no pricing information.  There is a reason!  When you visit the website of Indiana Funeral Care you will see they offer cremation and funeral packages anywhere in Indiana at discount prices, 40% to 50% less than traditional funeral homes.

Funeral Arrangements in Indiana

Wednesday, June 18, 2008 by Sara IFC

Over the past several years making funeral arrangements has become easier.  Our funeral home staff will meet families at the loved one's home or even at a coffee shop just to make it easier for the family.
Just the other day we met a family member at a resturant so they wouldn't have to be in the funeral home setting.  The family wanted to have a direct cremation with a private memorial service.   They were pleased to find a low cost service with such great value.

As cheap as possible

"As cheap as possible, no offense" are words that I frequently hear from families that don't have any interest in doing the traditional funeral service. Of course I'm not offended, because what works for one individual or family might not work for another. "To each their own" is a good philosophy to hold in this business.
But what defines cheap? Low cost funerals or low cost direct cremations can be done, and done with class, but Value is more important than dollars. It can be hard to put a dollar value to how a person feels when they feel as if they and their loved one have been taken care of properly. You don't have to spend an arm and a leg to be treated with dignity and respect. Simply call or visit us and you'll see why we have the word "CARE" in our name. It doesn't matter if you're seeking a discount cremation or discount funeral, or if you'd prefer 'going all out' with all the bells & whistles. Everyone gets the same loving care from us because at Indiana Funeral Care, it's our family taking care of your family.

Services with cremation

Wednesday, June 4, 2008 by Sara IFC
I had a family the other day that came in and requested services for their dad.  Dad's wishes were to be cremated and not to spend a lot of money on services.  The daughters wanted to carry out his wishes but they also needed to have some closure of their own and a direct cremation just wasn't what they wanted.  After talking to them we explained that they could have a traditional funeral, meaning a visitation and service followed by a cremation.  The daughters were very excited.  They were going to be able to carry out their fathers wishes and still have the closure that they needed all for a low cost.
To add value to the services we had military honors arranged to be conducted at our funeral home since cremation was to follow.  With their dad having been an honorably discharged veteran we wanted to make sure he was honored for what he did for us and our country.  After the honor guard came forward and saluted their dad, two gentlemen who were there for the funeral service saluted also.
It gave them a wonderful feeling for honoring their dad and his wishes, but still having a meaningful service for them.
