Discount Cremations

Friday, October 23, 2009 by David Ring
Beware of most low cost cremation advertisements.  Many advertise cheap cremations Indiana, but add on for basic services such as transportation from place of death, crematory fees, document courier fees, cremation containers, etc.  Indiana Funeral Care simple cremation costs $890 and includes all basic services except for charges from outside sources that we cannot control (death certificates and obituaries).

Cheap Cremations Indiana

Wednesday, June 10, 2009 by David Ring
Others advertise cheap cremations in Indiana, but none with the level of service we offer.  We are anxious for the opening for our new crematory, anticipated completion date is July 15, 2009.  More convenient for our staff to offer personal service for affordable cremations.  Families will be able to witness cremations on our premises in a state of the art facility.

Hong Kong Cremations

Thursday, April 23, 2009 by Roger Bridges

In Hong Kong, it can be hard just finding somewhere to sit down. In the fourth most densely populated place in the world, park benches are packed and strangers share tables at restaurants. But for the 40,000 people who die there every year, it turns out there's no respite from the crowds, even in the afterlife. While a land shortage forced Hong Kongers to give up on burials long ago — only 11% of bodies were buried in 2007 — the city has also run out of space for cremated ashes.

On April 14, the government began accepting applications for new cremation niches at its Diamond Hill columbarium, a massive nine-story building that stores cremation urns. The 18,500 new niches, the largest new public supply in almost a decade, compelled nearly 1,000 people to line up outside the columbarium office to personally submit their applications on opening day.

Pain That Cannot Forget

Tuesday, December 2, 2008 by Roger Bridges

Greek playwright Aeschylus wrote, "And even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God."  Beautiful and comforting words for someone experiencing the death of a loved one.

Funerals Around the World

Monday, November 17, 2008 by Roger Bridges

William Gladstone said, “Show me the manner in which a nation or a community cares for its dead and I will measure with mathematical exactness the tender sympathies of its people, their respect for the laws of the land and their loyalty to high ideals.”

It is interesting to read about the funeral practices in other countries.  In Burma, for example, the average funeral and cremation costs 120,000 kyat (about $94.00).  This in a country where the average annual income per capita is $200.  One alternative used by some poor residents in villages around Rangoon is to allow a “funeral contractor” to handle the funeral.  Basically, a funeral contractor runs a gambling den at the funeral home and people come to the funeral and gamble. They share some of the money with the family and in return, the poor family receives a funeral service.

At Indiana Funeral Care you can get a complete cremation with memorial service for $1,795 or a complete traditional funeral starting at just $3,950.  In addition, you can pre-pay using one of several affordable payment options and lock-in today's prices.  No gambling required.

Indiana Discount Funerals

People searching for Indiana Discount Funerals want to make their own informed decisions.  Most people want to make a purchase decision based on facts and not what a funeral director talks them into.  When consumers go to Lowes or Home Depot, they make a purchase decision on their own based on product information on the box and on price.  If they want advice, they ask for it.  Consumers visit www.indianafuneralcare.com and find complete and understandable funeral and cremation service details and price information.  If they have questions, they call.

Discount Cremations

A caller pleaded that someone has to offer discount cremations in Indiana!  She had called several funeral homes looking for low price or discount cremations with no success. One had quoted the price of the cremation for $1,400, plus a container for $125, plus the cremation fee of $300, plus, plus plus!  Another said they could save her lots of money over a regular funeral and their price was $2,995.  When I told her our price is $890, she responded, "Plus what?  What are the ad ons?"  When she realized the price is $890 complete, she replied, "Now that's more like it!  An honest up front, no frills company that offers discount cremations!"

Cremation in Indiana

Friday, October 24, 2008 by David Ring
Cremation in Indiana is growing to a level of acceptance among a broad spectrum of families.  With cremation, distraught family members and close friends seem to be able to focus more on the life lived, than the body of the deceased.  I witnessed such a meaningful service for a well loved young man, attended by so many that were so deeply touched!

Cremation in Indiana

Wednesday, October 8, 2008 by David Ring
My wife is a case manager for a firm from the East Coast that assists patients in Indiana.  Since she works with patients that have serious illnesses, she often speaks with people that may soon be facing a death.  However, she feels it is a conflict of interest to mention our services and I agree.  She had an interesting conversation with a lady from northern Indiana that had recently lost her husband.  The widow was told by a funeral home that she was saving a lot of money by cremating her husband.  She was told that a funeral service in Indiana cost almost $10,000, so paying $3,200 for a cremation in Indiana was a bargain.   My wife was so disturbed by this, knowing that we would have charged $890 plus transportation of $200 to have performed the same services.

Indiana Discount Funerals

More families are looking for Indiana discount funerals.  Unfortunately, those families are being misled by companies that advertise low prices, but do not include essential services for which they charge more. Extra charges for transportation of the body from the place of death, for a "crematory fee", for a cremation container, services of director at graveside, etc.
Indiana Funeral Care may be the only Indiana funeral and cremation service provider that publishes pricing on it's website.  Our package prices include everything except charges outside of our control, such as newspaper charges for obituaries, cemetery expenses.  No bait and switch, honest, practical packages for families seeking dignified funerals and cremations at value prices.

Cremation can be as cheap as you make them.  Direct cremation with Indiana Funeral Care is $890.00.  Additional cost that a family might have would be death certificates and/or an orbituary.  Cheap funerals can be just that; however, you can use the money that you might spend at other firms towards keepsakes.  We have urns starting as low as $65 with engraving and jerewlry as low as $130.

Cheap Funerals in Indiana

Thursday, July 31, 2008 by David Ring
Why do more and more people Google for discount funerals and cremations in Indiana?  There is a small but rapidly growing segment of people that are looking for more simplicity and less expense in funeral and cremation services.  There are lots of good traditional funeral homes in Indiana, but trying to find a quality value provider that offers "discount funerals" or "discount cremations" in Indiana is a difficult task.
Many funeral home websites have beautiful graphics and colors, but no pricing information.  There is a reason!  When you visit the website of Indiana Funeral Care you will see they offer cremation and funeral packages anywhere in Indiana at discount prices, 40% to 50% less than traditional funeral homes.

Low Cost Cremations

Friday, July 18, 2008 by David Ring

I was honored to speak to the incoming District Commanders at the American Legion Department of Indiana, July 13.  One of the Commanders volunteered that he learned he could transfer the arrangements he had made for he and his wife to be cremated.  They made the arrangements before they were aware of cremation services offered by Veterans Funeral Care through the American Legion.  He was amazed that our prices on cremation services were so much less expensive.  He was very pleased to learn that Veterans Funeral Care refunds the excess amount in the trust at the time of need to the next of kin and wanted other Legionnaires to be aware of that.

Cremation Serivces

Friday, July 4, 2008 by Sara IFC
A family called today needing help.  They were using another funeral
home for the cremation of their dad and needed to know how to get in contact
of the crematory that was providing the services.  I was shocked and
told her that the funeral home that they are using should provide that
service for her.  I ensured her that it is part of our services at no extra fee.
I went over our cheap cremation cost and provided her other options to
think about.  At the end of the conversation she was happy with the
information I gave her.  She said that I told her more information than the other funeral home had.

Cremation in Indiana

I have noticed the change in funeral service.  More and more families want a cheap service, but they also want value.  Because of this, more people are thinking of cremation for themselves and loved ones.
The families we serve have told us how much they appreciate the fact they can have a memorial service with cremation and still be able to purchase an urn or jewelry.
